World Map of The Blazing Moon Never Stops

The Lumentia Empire and Surrounding Kingdoms

With the vast Aron Mountains at its back, the Lumentia Empire stands at the heart of the continent.

Steeped in history, the empire has flourished under the authority of a powerful imperial throne and noble houses whose traditions stretch back through the ages.

Yet beneath its dazzling glory lie countless wars, sacrifices, and struggles for power.

The ancient noble houses that uphold the empire and the kingdoms beyond its borders have shaped one another over centuries, giving rise to the political order of the present day.

1. Lumentia Empire

A vast empire ruled by House Arserion.

Occupying the heart of the continent, the Lumentia Empire has wielded considerable influence over neighboring nations through more than a thousand years of history and formidable military might.

At the center of the empire lie the imperial capital and the palace where the Emperor resides, while four great ducal houses govern their respective territories.

[Major Regions]

1-1. Imperial Capital

The political center and seat of power of the Lumentia Empire.

Home to the magnificent Arserion Imperial Palace, the imperial family, and the highest-ranking nobility, it is the most splendid and prosperous city in the empire.

1-2. Arserion

The imperial dynasty that has ruled the Lumentia Empire for centuries.

From its magnificent palace in the imperial capital, House Arserion exercises supreme authority over the empire, commanding the allegiance of four ancient ducal houses and powerful noble factions.

Twenty years ago, the rebellion of Crown Prince Stephan plunged the imperial family into turmoil, and its repercussions continue to this day.

Among the current members of the imperial family are First Imperial Prince Noar, his twin sister Imperial Princess Evelyn, and Second Imperial Prince Lloyd. Rivalries over the imperial succession have become deeply entangled with the ambitions of powerful factions connected to the throne through marriage.

1-3. Valdrake

The northern territory of the Grand Ducal House of Valdrake.

Known as the Sword of the Imperial Family for over a thousand years, House Valdrake commands overwhelming military strength and a formidable order of knights.

Bordered by the Aron Mountains and vast forests, the house has long reigned as the empire’s most prestigious noble family, supported by its abundant natural resources and expansive lands. Recently, its distinguished achievements in the Rytua War earned it elevation to the rank of Grand Duke, making Valdrake the only grand ducal house in the empire.

1-4. Termarion

The territory of the Ducal House of Termarion, located in the northwestern region of the empire.

One of Lumentia’s four ancient ducal houses, Termarion boasts a long history and a firmly established position within the aristocracy.

The current Duke of Termarion has two daughters, Diana and Liliana. His eldest daughter, Diana, was once considered a prospective bride for First Imperial Prince Noar, and marriage negotiations took place between the two families.

For House Termarion, even marriage into the imperial family is merely a means of expanding its power. Its ambitions know no bounds.

1-5. Ernest

The southwestern coastal territory governed by the Ducal House of Ernest.

One of the Lumentia Empire’s four ancient ducal houses, Ernest has long held an important position within the empire’s political structure.

Following Crown Prince Stephan’s rebellion twenty years ago, the Crown Princess and her twin children spent a period of exile on a small island near Ernest.

During their exile, the twins formed a bond with Kailis, the second son of House Ernest. Kailis now serves as Princess Evelyn’s personal guard at the imperial palace.

1-6. Brenheim

The southeastern territory of the Ducal House of Brenheim.

An ancient and distinguished noble house whose symbols are flame and the phoenix, Brenheim was once renowned for its unwavering loyalty and mastery of fire magic.

However, after becoming entangled in Crown Prince Stephan’s rebellion twenty years ago, the house lost vast portions of its lands and wealth.

Though its former glory has faded, Brenheim continues to preserve its proud history and enduring sense of honor.

*Former Brenheim Territory / Present Imperial Territory

Lands that were once governed by House Brenheim but were transferred to direct imperial control as war reparations following the conflict.

The map separately marks the boundaries of these former territories.

1-7. Ernhart

A region located east of the imperial capital.

Home to noble residences and commercial establishments, Ernhart is one of the important settings connected to the capital.

*Mages’ Association

An ancient organization to which the empire’s mages belong.

Deeply involved in magical research and the activities of mages, the association holds considerable authority within the empire.

*Aron Mountains

A vast mountain range stretching across the northern region of the empire.

Its rugged peaks and dense forests extend over great distances, forming one of the defining natural boundaries of northern Lumentia.

2. Surrounding Kingdoms

2-1. Rytua

A country located east of the empire, known for its arid climate and distinctive culture.

After a prolonged war, Rytua was defeated by the Lumentia Empire and brought under imperial rule.

Yet the wounds of war remain deep, and factions opposed to the new order continue to resist.

2-2. Caldeike

A small independent kingdom located west of the Lumentia Empire.

Despite its modest size, Caldeike has established itself as a powerful foreign faction within the imperial court by producing both the former and current Imperial Consorts.

Through these ties, the kingdom has become deeply involved in the empire’s internal politics, wielding influence far beyond what its national strength would suggest.

The royal family of Caldeike is known for its calculated schemes and mastery of political intrigue. Rarely revealing their true intentions, its members are ruthless in their pursuit of their goals, willing to employ any means necessary to achieve them.

2-3. Western Kingdom

An independent kingdom situated across the sea to the south of the Lumentia Empire.

Possessing its own distinct culture and traditions, the Western Kingdom has maintained relations with Lumentia through active trade.

It is one of the empire’s important trading partners, serving as a gateway through which diverse goods and cultural influences enter Lumentia.
